Rewriting (ghost writing): This service ranges from editing, polishing, and embellishing existing material, sometimes referred to as ghost writing. We systematically work with a publisher or author to meticulously shape a book from beginning to end.
Formatting: All manuscripts require professional formatting. When you are ready to submit your manuscript to Literary Agents or Publishing houses, Shelter Island Press can provide a ready-to-publish manuscript. From traditional manuscript formatting to submission to a Publish On Demand (POD) printer, Shelter Island Press will make sure your manuscript is on-spec.

Manuscript Evaluation: Many times authors have more detailed questions that he/she would like to have feedback regarding their manuscript. If the author requests specific feedback on character development, plot points within their storyline, or he/she simply wants to know what works and what needs more attention, Shelter Island Press provides this valuable resource based on what the writer is looking for and our general evaluation.
Print on Demand (POD): Shelter Island Press will do all the work necessary to have your book printed. We deal directly with the printer - taking all the hassle out of the printing process. This includes the manuscript layout, the creation of the cover, obtaining the ISBN for the novel, and the printing of the novel. Basic POD does not include editorial services. We strongly recommend writers take advantage of our proofreading services.
